Friends don’t let real friends go to The Blue Moose. Go downtown right now where all the cool folks are!
My solution? Destroy 1-35 on that portion. That interstate is what killed Kansas City’s strongest Hispanic community. Now it is finally regaining steam but not in the same fashion. Although I don’t think destroying the bridge would bring those folks back I do think it would encourage a more neighborhood-like, urban aesthetic. Thus being more pedestrian friendly.
Just my two. But let them spend half-a-million on the diaper and a small obligatory park (the surburban planners way of throwing greenspace to supplement good urban planning.)
Kiss it!

he U.S. government has said that iPhone owners are officially allowed to “jailbreak” their devices for “educational purposes.” The new rule was one of a number of exemptions to 1998’s Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) anti-circumvention protections. These exemptions are reviewed and authorized every three years to ensure that work protected by copyright can be used in non-infringing ways. Read More: http://kcmo.me/bHfDKJ
While the “jailbreaking” exemption is surprising, it’s not the only one of note.

As told by Cheifs owner Clark Hunt (son of the late Lamar Hunt). Scroll down via the link to check it out.
Sidenote: Apparently the Manchester United/KC Wizards game was the first game to be played with the new renovations.
If you haven’t heard, XV announced that he got signed to Warner Bros. I’ve been receiving messages saying how pissed they bet I am.
Nothing could be further from the truth, however. Despite the beef, which had a lot to do with me just having fun, I’m always happy to see young artists such as myself making major moves.
There’s nothing like seeing something from conception come full-circle with it’s destiny. He’s released over a thirteen mixtapes since 2006 and has been constantly on his grind.
That alone, despite his sound is commendable enough! I know no one would ever see this coming but I’d like to say congrats to XV!
As a sidenote: I’d like to say that he made a good move. Some other labels were wanting to sign him as well but he chose Warner Bros. It sounds like he did so because they were willing to give him more freedom and weren’t as obligated to cater to major artists. We’ll see what happens though.

In case you blocked it out, the Super Bowl will be held in New Jersey in 2014, which so far has had two practical effects on the football landscape:
Making addicted gamblers fear an impossible-to-predict, potentially snow-blown Super Bowl that ends 3-0 in overtime.

Janelle Monáe: Tightrope (Wondamix) (feat. B.o.B & Lupe Fiasco) [Music Video]

Janelle Monae is a testament to the unfortunate truth that Kansas City’s most talented individuals often time find greater opportunity to shine elsewhere. She’s mastered her craft, yet has a transparent eagerness to grow. Her sound is fresh and unique. I just wish I could say she reps the city!
