My solution? Destroy 1-35 on that portion. That interstate is what killed Kansas City’s strongest Hispanic community. Now it is finally regaining steam but not in the same fashion. Although I don’t think destroying the bridge would bring those folks back I do think it would encourage a more neighborhood-like, urban aesthetic. Thus being more pedestrian friendly.
Just my two. But let...

Update: XV, Warner Brothers and thePhantom*
If you haven’t heard, XV announced that he got signed to Warner Bros. I’ve been receiving messages saying how pissed they bet I am.
Nothing could be further from the truth, however. Despite the beef, which had a lot to do with me just having fun, I’m always happy to see young artists such as myself making major moves.

Chiefs owner wants Super Bowl in Kansas City,...
In case you blocked it out, the Super Bowl will be held in New Jersey in 2014, which so far has had two practical effects on the football landscape: Making addicted gamblers fear an impossible-to-predict, potentially snow-blown Super Bowl that ends 3-0 in overtime.

Janelle Monáe: Tightrope (Wondamix) (feat. B.o.B & Lupe Fiasco) [Music Video]
Janelle Monae is a testament to the unfortunate truth that Kansas City’s most talented individuals often time find greater opportunity to shine elsewhere. She’s mastered her craft, yet has a transparent eagerness to grow. Her sound is fresh and unique. I just wish I could say she reps the city!

Black Eye Peas...Jeez
So I’ve had Black Eyed Peas album, E.N.D. for months now but never had the stomach to listen to it. I’m doing so now and I can’t even listen to whole songs. Haha this stuff is pretty much wack. I guess if simplicity is what their going for, they’ve succeeded.
Volunteer spirit reflects new chapter in history... →
In cement patches freshly laid on the sidewalk today, the sweat-soaked volunteers out front of old Southwest High School could have etched the day’s message into concrete.
Something to describe what stirred some 200 people armed with shovels, wheelbarrows and paint brushes to swarm three Kansas City School District buildings.

Changes About my Online Presence
Yeoo! So I’ve decided to embark upon a few changes after a recent survey I conducted through my awesome Phanatics about the efficiency of thePhantom*’s online presence. One of the main things I’ve heard the most about is inconsistency with naming. With me being so Phantom-like, it’s my nature to discise certain things or make things indirect. Although a lot of the things I...

The Lebron James Circus is coming to town!
I wore my Lebron James Cavaliers jersey for the hell of it today just for the hell of it. I showed up to about four different places and at each one I at least got three comments like “burn that jersey!” or “there goes a new heat fan”.
Turns out Lebron is coming to KC soon and tickets and going fast! Get yours yet?

Unexpected news for some! Very fascinating, however. But overall most of these gains have come from Clay and Platte Counties so I wouldn’t call this a mass exodus from the suburbs to the city but it’s definitely fascinating.
