Georgia Me @ Stress Free Mondays!??!
I just got off the phone with Glen North, the Poet In Residence of the American Jazz Museum down on 18th & Vine here in Kansas City. He just shared some exciting news with me that I want to share with you. As you may know know, last week marked our first “Stress Free Poetry”. Needless to say, it blew us away with it’s success. To accomidate the popularity of Stress Free Poetry, we’ve added a “Stress Free Poetry Hour” to each Stress Free event from now on.
Glen North, as you may know, hosts Jazz Poetry Jamz at the Blue Room. Apparently, Georgia Me (often times coined to be the Queen of Spoken-word), said she’d be interested in performing at Stress Free Mondays on July 13th. Georgia has one a Tony, Emmy and a Peabody award for her work. Needless to say, we’re excited about the opportunity to present her to our audiences. In the spirit of keeping things stress free, this occasion is allows us to further uphold our belief that the audience comes first.
