Words, WORDS. Where are YOU?
It seems as though I haven’t written in ages. Even on this blog, I have for the most part shared videos, links and pictures. I feel as though the fervent stroke of the once mighty pen, has diminished into a mere helpless tremor. I know that my ability to write and report has not failed me, it is the motivation to do so that has.
There are many great things about social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. Unfortunately, a bard or scribe cannot fully expose his muse in 140 characters or less. Perhaps this is a passing phase. I hope so. I have my life ahead of me - there is much that I shall explore and much that I shall ignore.
Pictures, videos and the likes all have their place but can they really bear the soul of an artist? Can these images really say, “My love, your touch encapsulates the essence of ecstasy and vacillates the waft of truth.”? I would say no.
We’ll see what happens…
